Yesterday, I received a phone call that the weather was nice and we better go cut some firewood. Make hay while the suns shines I guess, so off we went :) Thank you to Dad for all your help. Sow Your Wild Oats ~ No Bake Cookies are the fun lil' snack we re-fueled on. Easy, quick, and magic.....they must be magic because they vanish quickly
Here's the recipe:
Sow Your Wild Oats~ No Bake Cookies
1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
3 Table Spoons Coco
3 Table Spoons Peanut Butter (I use CHUNKY)
1/2 cup milk ( I used 2%)
Add in above ingredients.
Stir and bring to a boil over Medium heat. Boil for 1 1/2 minutes without stirring.
While that is boiling...Lay out wax paper. ( I used aluminum foil because it's what I had)
After the 1 1/2 minute...Remove from Heat.
Stir in Oats & Vanilla.
3 cups Quick Oats
1 tea spoon vanilla
Use a spoon to scoop out dallops of Chocolatey Oat Drops and place them on your paper.
Let set up for about 30 minutes & enjoy! If they never set up, you needed to boil them more. If they are dry....it went to long :) Varies from elevation or location. Reguardless if they set up or not....I've never had them be un-edible. :) Love them! Quick, Easy & travel good.
Here is a the recipe in review :)

I like to start by melting my butter on low.
You can be getting everything else in order while it melts.
(like pre-measuring your oats & other ingredients & putting away containers. I like to pre-measure, especially when the lil' buckaroos are helping cook )
