WILD WEST LASANGA (No Cook Noodle Lasgna)

WILD WEST LASAGNA is super easy! One of my favorite, "Go To" meals for a large group of people ...quick!

List of Party Guests:
1/2 pound hamburger (I just use a ranch package, whatever size that is...I think about 1 lb)
32 oz Spaghetti Sauce
1/2 cup Water
1 1/2 Cups Cottage Cheese (1, 12 oz tub)
1 Egg
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 lb shredded mozzarella cheese (I use cheddar & mozzarella...or whatever I have ;)
9x13 Pan

Directions:
Pre-Heat Oven at 350 degrees

Mix:
Brown up the Hamburger
Mix in Spaghetti Sauce and 1/2 cup water

In a separate Bowl ~MIX: (I usually use the cottage cheese container :)
1 1/2 Cups Cottage Cheese
1 Egg
1/2 tsp pepper

NEXT let the LAYERING Begin!!!!
  • 1/2 Cup Meat Sauce on bottom of 9x13 pan ( I lightly cover the bottom of the pan)
  • 1 layer of lasagna noodles
  • 1 layer of Cottage Cheese Mixture
  • Glorious Grated Cheese
Recipe says Repeat....HOWEVER...I like to change it up a little so that the noodles are under more delicious layer and noodles cook better I think :)

Next Layers

  • 1 layer of lasagna noodles
  • Remaining Meat Sauce
  • Remaining Cottage Cheese Mixture
  • Top with remaining Glorious Grated Cheese!

BAKE in the oven at 350 for 1 hour.
(Cover pan with aluminum foil for about 45 minutes. Remove for last 15 of Baking so cheese doesn't get too browned:) This recipe is pretty bomb-proof. You can also cook it in a dutch oven over coals for an hour also. (If I can cook it in a dutch oven....it is a very very agreeable dish ;)

Serve & Enjoy! Delicious with a gorgeous green salad!
